Hand trolleys, Hydraulic trolleys, slings both nets/steels made of different sizes with lashing equipment are available round the year on hire basis to handle General/Bag/Marine cargo at both over side and Jetty side at Chittagong port.

General Imports and marine cargo are handled on board vessels . Vessel discharges cargo over side barges as well as Jett side trucks with the help of slings, shore cranes and vessels gantry cranes/derricks.The Project goods are not devanned at the container yard . After custom process - the containers with goods are taken by trailers to the customers premises/project areas against a guarantee and undertaking on stamp papers on return basis of empty container by same trailer (s). These cargoes are devanned at the premises of the customers which involves less risk.

From our knowledge we can inform that the heavy , odd size projects cargo or special loads are handled with Vessels or port's gantry cranes supported by the shore cranes of the port and derricks of the vessel. These goods are unloaded onto over side barges , and jetty side trailers , trucks or sometimes into Railway Wagons. We have gained good experience in handling projects heavy or odd size or special cargo at sea port. Hired Cranes/Forklifts can be used for handling goods inside the premises .

If the Chartered marine vessel arrives at the port of Chittagong with bag/break-bulk cargo or general imports - unloading commences upon completion of berthing of vessel at port jetty berth with permissible draft. If discharging term is liner - ship owners will appoint berth operator who will supply labor gangs with slings on board vessel to unload goods onto both over side barges and or onto Jetty side trucks. In this case, Berth operator will be paid by owners of the ship in lieu of his services rendered for discharging of cargo over side and jetty side. And if the term is free out - it will be vice versa. Non -owned equipment which we use are always available. Even large trailers, trucks, Forklifts are available on hire round the year.
